We at shooting sports software are committed to supplying the shooting sports
with the best Windows based solutions for your tournament needs. We plan on introducing
systems that will support Trap Shooting, Skeet Shooting, League Shooting, Sporting Clays
Shooting and Marathon Events.
We fully realize that it is impossible to have everything included in our systems that meet the
needs of all clubs and organizations. We are willing to listen to any reasonable requests for
additions to our base line packages that can be integrated into the base line product. We will
not entertain including any of the numerous types of option payoffs that are offered by clubs
that are only used by the requesting club but other options will be considered. The programs
have the ability to write these non standard options to a flat file that you can then import into
a spreadsheet program. You can then use the spreadsheet to compute these payoffs and then
input the winners into the 3S system via the Payoff Utilities Menu.
Being shooters ourselves we realize that the best way to keep people coming back you your
clubs is to offer quality service, good targets and fair and balanced payoffs generated
in a reasonable time frame.
Any requests for variations to our base line product should be forwarded to:

The 3S Program Developer and Family
I have been in the Automated Material Handling business since 1976. This industry
utilizes state of the art automated controls for the movement and inventory control
of material in an automated warehouse. The bulk of this automation includes the
tracking, order processing and shipment of material into and out of an automated
warehouse. A typical automated warehouse will have approx. 35,000+ storage locations
with each location being able to store up to 32 different part's. The control process
will include expected receipts to replenish stock, picking parts to supply shop
floor demand for orders in process and final shipping. Typically each system will
have a host interface that balances the inventory database with an off site master
database. This host interface also is used to download material requests for production
along with shipping orders. Once the orders are processed the system will update
the host with a completed transaction message. Most systems also include automated
material handling equipment which store and retrieve material. This automated equipment
is controlled via the main control software, typically called Warehouse Management
System or WMS. These systems are what are called in
the business as Real Time Controllers or RTC.
Real Time Controls by their very nature dictate that the developers code must be
clean as the WMS / RTC must react to outside calls for service.
If your code does not measure up the system will not work!
I began shooting trap in 1968 and became a ATA life member in 1981. In 1985 I began
to write software to track and payoff Trap Shooting Tournaments. Since 1985 the
program has grown into what we now call Shooting Sports Software. The program started
with a CPM program written in Basic, then a DOS Basic program, next was a dBaseIII
program with payoffs written in Basic. The new version is written in C++. We here
at 3S believe that you will be very satisfied with our system.
