Version 10.00 Release - October 10, 2007:

  1. This version will now update the Shooter Scores table when any changes are made in the computer squadding program. This eliminates the need to have the shooter go back to the cashier windows for a simple change of squad. The new squad will be added to his or her record from the Computer Squad program. This addition to the 3S Trap Shooting System will save you untold amounts of time as the new squad / post is added to the shooters record, if they have been cashiered. If they have not been cashiered the update is ignored. You will receive a message if the system was unable to update the shooters tournament record so you can try again or simply send them to the cashiering window to be updated. This rarely happens but if it does you know that the update did not take place.
  2. The computer squadding program now has new functions that will show and allow the user to find and delete a shooter who has a pre squad position but has not shown up or has not been cashiered. Another function allows the user to find and delete a shooter who has cashiered but has not paid for the event. The system will now allow the user to click on another shooter, hit the space bar and then allow the user to make this new shooter the active shooter or just simply find out where this shooter is in all events he or she has a squad in. The new computer squadding program also shows the event date and the day of the week at the top of the squad grid. This helps to insure that you are in the correct event when adding shooters or doing squad edits.
  3. The file backup and restore programs will now backup and restore the special class table.
  4. All added payoffs have been changed to not allow a shooter who pays a special price on targets to be paid any added money.
  5. Lewis payoff programs have been changed to tell the user that he or she has already paid the Lewis and will allow the user to abort out and leave the existing payoff amounts unchanged in the shooter payoff table.
  6. User can now select which events to pay with cash rather then defaulting to all un-paid events. The previous version would only allow you to pay cash to a shooter for all events that had not been paid. This version will allow you to check which events you want to pay in cash, usually associated with the events for a particular day.
  7. I have added one more shooter to the teams systems. The old version would allow you to build a team with up to 5 team members. As there are sometimes a tournament with AAA class the need for a 6 man team was needed. You now can have 2 additional team types with 6 shooters. This may cause an issue with the Team Lewis payoff as the system can only process up to 200 target difference from the high to low team score. If this does happen the Class will print but it may not have a payoff associated with the last team. You should be able to payoff the Team Lewis manually, very easy as the teams are listed from high to low.

LAN Version Released Soon:

The New 14 Day / 24 Event system is being developed and I hope to have this ready by Spring of 07. I will test this update during the Spring and Summer of 07 to ring the bugs out. This new system will be basically the same as 9 but with the ability to handle up to 24 events over 14 days. As this system is being specifically designed for larger tournaments there will be some changes to the baseline:

  1. The user MUST use the computer squading mode.
  2. The user MUST be on a Network (LAN).
  3. The user MUST be in print receipt mode.
  4. The Server MUST be running Windows 2003 Server and have at a minimum of 2 Gig of RAM.

The progress on the Trap 2007 product outlined above is going better than expected. I hope to have this ready to do a tournament by Mid. February 2007.

Version 9.00 Released, November 1, 2006

  4. Can have the system write to a comma delimited flat file the shooters from the selected state who have shot at the minimum number of Handicap, Singles and Doubles targets. This can then be imported into a spreadsheet and sort by composite average for standing for the selected state.
  5. Pre Squad dot com: Fully compatible.

When you run Payoff Util Menu #1 the system will build the daily payoff table but will not include any records as being paid by cash. Earlier Versions did not have an easy way to payout in cash.
  12. You can know have a ATA and PITA tournament at the same time and the system will write the ATA shooters scores to the ATA format file and the PITA shooters scores will be written to the PITA format file. YOU CANNOT cross register scores if running a tournament in this manner.
